His parents (both around 50 years old) are staying in Chennai. Before going to US, I asked Srinivasan how we could leave his parents alone here. He smiled and said that he had spent 40k and had bought a PC and that he was expecting to talk to his parents through webcam.  After couple of months, I went to a browsing center near his house. The moment I entered I was surprised to find Srinivasan’s parents there with headphones talking with some one. When asked with whom they were talking, they replied that they were talking with their son, Srinivasan.  I asked them about their PC at home which Srinivasan had bought for 40K and they said they could not operate the system. It seems once they had asked his friend who is a service engineer to help them out, but still they were unable to operate on their own. Hence they are at the browsing center. Later I found that most of the old age people are facing problem in using Webcam.
How do we find a solution? How can this be webcam interface be made user friendly so that even older people can use it to connect to their loved ones?
